 Finally Boots That Fit My 16" Calves July 23, 2010

Praise the Lord! I finally found boots that fit my large 16.5" calves!
However, I am not too fond of the sheepskin fur lining on the inside (I think it takes away some calf room) or the suede-like finish (I personally prefer leather), but I do like how the boots look, which I can only describe as chic western boots. As for the sizing, the boot size is a bit smaller than anticipated. I usually wear a 7-7.5, and ordered the 7.5 to be on the safe side, and found that size to be a bit snug with the insoles that comes with the boots. However, without the insoles, the boots fit perfectly, but there isn't much arch support. The 1 3/4" heel kind of bothers me as I am not a "heel" type of person, but it probably won't bother most people.
I do like how sturdy and comfortable the boots feel by far.
Overall, I feel that for $79.98 (Amazon's current price as of 7/22/10), these boots are a steal! However, I am still on the hunt for flat heel leather boots for wide calves.

I love these boots! They are soooo comfortable. I could walk in them all day. And the inner wool keeps you nice and warm. I wish I had more!

This boots are super comfy and for people with large calves it's great, they fit over my jeans with no problem. Amazon had the best prize, thanks....

I must admit I was not expecting the fur inside but I love it. I am always cold and was looking for a boot that might help this problem. I have seem a very popular brand that provides fur lining but they were very expensive and I was not crazy about the look, even though they are the rage these days. I received the shoe and tried it on and was able to walk around in them with no problem. I am not sure if it was age or big feet but first time comfort is not always the case. I would not trade these.
